The Office of Judicial Affairs is charged with the overall responsibility for the College’s Program for discipline and monitoring adherence to the Code of Conduct. The primary focus includes teaching, training, providing guidance and some counseling for all students at the university. Judicial Affairs also includes the assessment of disciplinary penalties for infractions of policy, behavioral intervention and modification, community service and managing the Administrative Hearing Committee by serving as Chair and through scheduling hearings as necessary.
The Office of Judicial Affairs will provide leadership in planning, establishing, and operating the housing program for all students living on campus. The Dean will manage and confirm all room assignments and will oversee the input of billing information and will communicate housing information to students. The Dean will manage all aspects of the operational budget for Judicial Affairs. The Dean is required to provide leadership and supervision for the office staff and work study students. The Dean is under the direct supervision of the Vice President of Administrative Services.
The Dean manages all aspects of the departmental operational budget in support of the overall student life program. The Dean is required to provide leadership and supervision for office staff, and assists the residential, graduate and student resident assistants and a cadre of volunteers in several capacities that work in Residence Life. The Dean is a member of the Student Development and Administrative Services Leadership Team of student affairs directors, serves on committees, supervises and provides team leadership for special projects and assists with university-wide activities, such as registration, formal academic occasions, conference utilization of residential facilities and other tasks as directed by the President, the Vice President for Administrative Services and the Chancellor and Provost.
