Verification Policy

The U.S. Department of Education may require the Office of Financial Aid to verify the accuracy of the data submitted on your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). If you are selected for verification, Financial Aid will notify you by email regarding your selection and you will receive an email form VGCS@inceptia.org, or postcard from Inceptia, containing Arkansas Baptist College’s unique website link to start the verification process.

We encourage you to begin the verification process within 7 days of receiving notification from Verification Gateway to ensure you receive your financial aid award in time for payments. Failure to complete the verification process could result in the delay of your financial aid award. Please note that failure to have this process completed before the semester begins can delay you being able to move into campus housing.

Follow these steps to complete your verification.

• Access our school’s unique website link in the email from VGCS@inceptia.org or listed above
• Create your account and choose preferences for text messages and e-signatures.
• Complete your Task List.
• Confirm your signature and review your information.
• Sign your account.

* If you are a dependent student, your parent needs to create their own account by completing each of these steps.

You are required to submit your file for review once you and your parents (dependents) task are completed and e-signed. Your file will indicate “In Review”. No changes can be made unless you call Inceptia to have your file reversed so that you can add additional information. If the submitted information is not sufficient, you and your parent are notified by email from Inceptia. Once Inceptia has marked your file verified, Arkansas Baptist College Financial Aid will mark your file verified and complete your federal financial aid award.

Your Financial Aid Award Letter will be emailed to the email address on your received Student Aid Report.
