Women’s Basketball Head Coach

                In 2006 Dion Cross was hired as the Head Coach for the Arkansas Baptist College Lady Buffs.  Every year the Lady Buffs have improved.  In the past two years the Lady Buffs have gone 40-18.  Coach Cross’s playing career took off at Parkview Arts & Science Magnet School where he played for Coach Ripley.  Upon graduation in 1992 he accepted a scholarship to play for Stanford University.  Dion is the #3 all time leading scorer with 1,635 points.  He holds 7 Stanford career records including: three-point field goals (241), single season three point field goals (82), and single season free throw percentage (.921) while leading nation.  Other accolades include:  #4 all-time in the Pac-10 in career 3-point percentage leader at .437 (242-551), #5 all-time in Pac-10 career 3-point goals (241), #10 all-time Pac-10 (.839), All Pac-10 first team during junior and senior seasons and an All-American candidate.  Coach Cross graduated from Stanford University in 1996 with a Bachelor’s of Arts in Communication.  Dion is the founder and coach of New Life Summer Travel Team.  He is married to Sharese Cross.  They are the proud parents of four children:  Khi (9 years old), Christian (7), Brooklyn (5), and there youngest Jordan (1).
